Comment on the following statements Rate of evaporation of an aqueous solution decreases with increase in humidity.
By humidity we mean, the amount of water vapours present in the air. With increase in humidity the rate of evaporation decreases. If the humidity of air is already high, it can hold only a little more amount of water vapour to reach that optimum level, therefore the rate of evaporation decreases.
