height of A = x height of B = y Now potential energy = mgh Here its given that m =50 kg we know g = 10 m/s^2 Now change in potential energy = PE at A -PE at B = mg *height at A - mg *height at B =50*10 * ( x-y) = 500(x-y) joules Substitute the value of x and y to get the final solution.
