What do you understand by the term isotopes?
An element's isotopes are similar to different forms of the same element, with the same number of protons but differing numbers of neutrons. Isotopes of an element, on the other hand, have the same atomic number but a different atomic mass. Stable and radioactive isotopes are the two types of isotopes.
