This process involved sketching and carving a design into a woodblock, by applying ink or dye and then stamping it onto a finished fabric or cotton cloth. The influence Block Printing had on Egyptian civilisation was that once the block printing was done on the fabrics; those fabrics were further traded from India and took the route from Cairo since it was the centre for those Indian goods intended for the Egyptian market. Final Answer Block printing was used to sketch and carve the design using ink or dye on the block of wood and then finished on the fabric. The Egyptian market was influenced by block printing since India traded the block printed works to Egypt.
