Why is it important that a design consists of all three aspects-aesthetic, teleology and semiotics?
In a design, the appearance, function and value are the very basic needs of any user, irrespective of the age, background and cultural ethos of the user. Aesthetic values should be present in order to satisfy the senses of a human being. Every design has an ultimate purpose which is teleological in its nature and its ability to function proves the quality of the intended result. A design has to communicate a message in order for the user to reflect back, this is achieved by Semiotics. Final Answer Depending upon the intention, one or two aspects can weigh more than the other, still the all the three aspects of graphic design are inseparable and only upon the combination of these aspects will result in a satisfiable design.
