Colour psychology and symbolism are very interesting concepts. Colours can carry a message across better than words most of the times. The most popular colour symbol is a traffic light; it’s the same all over the world. It’s red colour instructs us to stop, yellow signifies waiting or to re-ignite your engines and finally the green is for start moving again. Colour symbolism is often culture-specific. Colours have the power to influence the way one perceives objects. Red depicts energy, passion and it is used mostly on energy drinks. Blue is used to show trust and most of the bank logos have at least a small per cent of blue in it. So when trying to advertise for some heavy machinery, using dark colours would get the required attention to the product, like dark green, or dirty green.
