5. Is it okay to use motor oil in a hydraulic system? Would you please justify your answer?

No, motor oil cannot be used in a hydraulic system as motor oil runs at a very high temperature, and hydraulic oil will start to fail at 45c. Once the hydraulic oil is run over this heat for an extended period of time, the oil will burn. This will lead to small particles stuck in the filters, which will trigger the pump to cut out. The filters will have to be changed, which will make it a costly job.
