When you are enrolled in an HMO, you have a right to medically necessary care. Managed care plans have doctors and other qualified health care professionals available in all specialties of medicine. If your HMO does not have enough qualified providers, it must arrange for the services you need to be provided for you outside the plan. This must be done in a timely manner, and at no extra cost to you.
