57. Differentiate Worm and Virus?
Let us differentiate the two by taking three aspects: Infecting a computer: While Virus transfers or inserts malicious code into a file or program, Worm attacks by creating copies and sending them out via email. Dependency: Viruses require a host program to function. However, Worms do not require a host in order to function properly. Linkage: Viruses are connected to files ending in.com,.xls,.exe,.doc, and so on. Worms can be connected to any file on a network. Speed of Impacting: Viruses move more slowly than worms. A worm is faster than a virus.
