Transportation is a process of water movement through a plant and its evaporation from aerial parts such aa leaves , stems and flowers water is necessary for plants but only small amount is taken up by roots, 97-99.5%water is lost by transpiration factors affecting transpiration are 1.number of stomata -more number of stomata result in more transpiration 2.size of leaf- a leaf with bigger surface area will transpire faster as compared to leaf with small surface area 3.number of leave more leaves more transpiration 4.temperature- increased temperature leads to increase transpiration
