Amount of insolation decreases from the equator towards poles?
Insolation is the incoming solar energy intercepted(received) by the earth. Sunlight falls almost vertically on the Equator whereas it falls at some angles or little on the poles. Due to this, the amount of insolation decreases from the equator to the poles.
