The tablet does not look like iron. The tablet is not made of iron metal, instead it contains a salt of iron. Oral iron is given as ferrous sulfate or ferrous gluconate or amino acid chelate tablets. Tablets cannot look like iron, but contain iron metal in different forms to supplement the deficiency.
