Given compound is Aluminium Sulphate Al2(SO4)3 the Atomic mass of Aluminium (Al) = 27. The atomic mass of Sulphur (S) = 16 x 2 = 32 The atomic mass of oxygen (O) = 8 x 2 = 16. Total molar mass of the compound is (27 x 2) + (32 x 3) + (16 x12) ⇒342 gm/mole. Molar Mass of the oxygen = 12 x 16 ⇒ 192 gm/mole. Percentage of oxygen in total compound = (192/342) x 100 ⇒ 56.140% Therefore, the percentage of oxygen in Aluminium Sulphate is 56.1 %  Download Soln PDF
