The patient is suffering from AIDS, i.e., Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome. AIDS is caused by HIV – Human Immunodeficiency virus. Two modes of transmission are i. By sexual contact with infected person. ii. By the use of an infected syringe or needle.
