How are the wavelength and frequency of a sound wave related to its speed?
Longer the wavelength, longer will be the frequency waves. In the context of speed, it is dependent upon the medium through which the sound wave is travelling. The more inflexible, inelastic the medium, the faster will the movement of sound. The equation forms as vw = fλ, where vw is the speed of sound, f is its frequency, and λ is its wavelength.
