Option [B] Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment : The Social Justice and Empowerment Ministry has invited public feedback on the new draft national policy on persons with disabilities (PwD). It proposes interventions in disability prevention, education, healthcare, social security and accessibility. It also focussed on other causes of disability, such as malnourishment, medical negligence and impairment caused by disasters. The draft called for a comprehensive national programme on prevention. It stated that one-third of disabilities in children were preventable.
