If we are considering the charge of the nucleus, then there are only the protons that can contribute to the charge as they have a charge of +1+1. Thus the charge of the atom's nucleus is +25 with 25 protons in it. But if asked the overall charge of the atom, then it would be 0. As the −25−25 charge from the electrons will cancel out the +25+25 charge of protons.
