There are six organs of the U.N. General Assembly Security Council The Economic and Social Council International Court of Justice Trusteeship Council The Secretariat. Functions of General Assembly: The General Assembly may attract the attention of the security council towards a situation disturbing international peace and security. The Non-permanent members of the security council and all members of the Trusteeship Council and those of the Economic and Social Council are all elected by General Assembly.
