Examine four important components of the traditional notion of security.
1.Balance of power is a component of traditional security. The best way of maintaining a balance of power is to build up one’s military powers. Alliance building is another traditional component of security. For example, the NATO established by the U.S.A. and the Warsaw Pact created by the U.S.S.R. This system is as old as the known history of States.
