For the measurement of temperature of the order of 400°C, what will we prefer?
A radiation thermometer can measure higher temperatures more than 400∘C. A higher temperature body emits thermal radiation and this is detected by the radiation thermometer. Instruments that can measure temperatures higher than 1000∘C are called pyrometers.
