What is the vertical component of earth’s magnetic field?
The vertical component of the Earth's magnetic field is zero at the magnetic equator as the magnetic field lines are parallel to the surface of the Earth at the equator. Whereas, at the magnetic poles, only the vertical components are found and no horizontal component exists.
