Option A. The correct answer is Hydrogen gas and iron chloride are produced. Reaction of hydrochloric acid and Iron: When dilute Hydrochloric acid is added to iron filings, iron chloride & hydrogen gas are produced. In this reaction, iron displaces hydrogen from hydrochloric acid to form iron chloride and hydrogen gas.
