State some characteristics of periodic table.
The periodic table is composed of periods that are numbered between 1 to 7 and groups, numbered between 1 to 8 . Transition elements are placed in Group VIII while all the normal elements are placed between Groups I to VII. Periods from 4 th to 7 th have been divided into two series: series and series.
