Identify the kind of motion in the following cases: (i) A car moving with constant speed turning around a curve. (ii) An electron orbitting around nucleus.
(i) A car moving at a constant speed means that the speed does not change with time. Turning a car around a curve means the car is moving in a circular path As per the definition of uniform circular motion, an object moves in a circular path with constant speed. So we can say that this type of motion of a car represents a uniform circular Hence a car moving at a constant speed and turning around a curve is a uniform circular motion. (ii) An electron orbitting around nucleus exerts a uniform circular motion.
