A ball is projected vertically upwards with an initial velocity ‘u goes to a maximum height ‘h’ before touching the ground. What is the value of ‘h’ ?

If we know the initial velocity, from the equation, v2−u2=2as with s = h and v = 0 at the top of the path, initial velocity is given as 'u' and a = -g then: h = 2gu2​.  Therefore, the maximum height reached = 2gu2​.
