Option A RNA polymerase enzyme adds ribonucleotides to synthesize RNA using the base sequence of template DNA strand. The DNA strand that serves as a template for mRNA synthesis is called as anticoding strand or antisense strand or noncoding strand. The other strand is called coding strand or sense strand as its base sequence is same as that of newly synthesized mRNA.
