According to which article untouchability is abolished and its practice is punishable?
Article 17 of the Indian Constitution talks about abolition of untouchability. Untouchability is abolished and its practice in any form is forbidden by the provisions of this article. It states that the enforcement of any disability arising out of untouchability shall be an offence punishable in accordance with law.
