The components of water can be separated by (a) Physical methods (b) Chemical methods (c) Both (d) They can't be separated
Option B. Chemical method Distillation, crystallisation, adsorption, membrane procedures, absorption and stripping, and oxidation are the typical chemical methods of isolation and purification. Since there is a need to separate components of a substance thus chemical methods are used. Each water molecule is a combination of two hydrogen atoms and one oxygen atom so water can decompose into elements only by chemical method, i.e. electrolysis.
