Which of the following sequences is truly a systemic circulation pathway? (a) Right ventricle → Pulmonary aorta → Tissues → Veins → Left auricle (b) Right auricle → Left ventricle → Aorta → Tissues → Veins → Left auricle (c) Left auricle → Left ventricle → Pulmonary aorta → Tissues → Right auricle (d) Left auricle → Left ventricle → Aorta → Arteries → Tissues → Veins → Right atrium

Option A. Systemic circulation carries blood from the heart to the tissues and then carry deoxygenated blood from tissues towards the heart. It helps to distribute the nutrients to different tissues and picks the carbon dioxide and waste. Systemic circulation involves the movement of blood from lungs to the left auricle through pulmonary vein, which is then pumped to the left ventricle. From here the blood goes through aorta which divides into arteries. The arteries carry the blood towards the tissues and the deoxygenated blood is returned to right auricle through veins.
