Sometimes the Sun produces a huge amount of magnetic strength that sends out jets of gasoline into space. These jets of fuel are called photo voltaic flares and reason a sudden increase in the brightness of the Sun. Solar flares are frequently followed by way of the release of electrically charged particles like protons and electrons. These are called photo voltaic winds and are recognised to travel at a velocity of about 500 kilometres (300 miles) per second.
