How were the planets formed?
After the gaseous cloud referred to as the solar nebula collapsed upon itself due to the energy of its own gravity and fashioned the Sun, the dust and particles round it clumped together to form the planets. The warmth of the Sun melted the ice particles nearby and sooner or later these rocks grew larger to form the 4 rocky planets. Some ice particles had been too a ways away from the Sun to be melted. These ice pieces combined with gases to form the planets referred to as the gasoline giants.
