There are two types of black bear – Asiatic and American. The Asiatic black endure inhabits the temperate and subtropical forests of Asia, while the American black endure is native to North America. The Asiatic black endure is additionally acknowledged as the moon endure because of the white, crescent-shaped mark on its chest. Its coat is frequently black in colour, although bears with brown coats are not uncommon. The American black endure is the smallest of all North American bear species, but it can still grow up to 1.8 metres (6 feet) in size and weighs about 40–300 kilograms (90–660 pounds). Most of these bears have a sleek black coat, although some are honey-coloured.
