The emperor penguin is the tallest and the heaviest of all penguins. This species can develop to a most top of about 1.1 metres (3.7 feet) and can weigh about 41 kilograms (90 pounds). The smallest penguin is the fairy penguin which is barely 41 centimetres (16 inches) tall and weighs about 1 kilogram (2.2 pounds).
