How do insects breathe?
Insects have spiracles (little holes) on the edges of the thorax and abdomen. Air enters thru those spiracles and then respiration tubes deliver the oxygen all over the body. The spiracles near whilst the insect is in water, making sure that the insect doesn’t drown. However, bugs ought to come up for air frequently while they may be underwater.
