Do water plants have the same roots as land plants?
Since the primary cause of roots is to ship water as much as the leaves, aquatic plant life, whose leaves are usually touching the water, have smaller roots. In fact, aquatic vegetation have very light, feathery roots for the reason that roots do now no longer guide the plant. These roots can take in oxygen.
