What types of climate are found in South America?
With the equator passing thru the continent, plenty of South America has a heat and tropical weather, with moist summers and dry winters. The northern coasts of Venezuela and Colombia are dry and prone to droughts. The Pacific coasts of Colombia and Ecuador have a tropical weather, however the coastal areas in Peru and northerly Chile are very dry. The bloodless currents off these beaches do now no longer convey moisture. In the high Andes mountains there's an alpine weather, and the regions round them are cool. South of the tropic of Capricorn, the weather is temperate – summers are cool and winters are bloodless. Patagonia in southern Argentina has an nearly polar weather.
