Christmas Island turned into given its call by the British captain William Mynors of the ship the Royal Mary, due to the fact he arrived there on Christmas Day in 1643. This small island in the Indian Ocean is up to now from any other landmass that its plant life and animals are quite unique. People did now no longer stay there earlier, so there was no human interference. As a result, it's far of massive hobby to scientists.
