Which countries are in the Arctic?
Parts of Canada, Alaska (the largest country withinside the USA), Russia, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Iceland and Greenland lie within the Arctic circle. The Arctic landmass is made up of mountains, plateaus and tundra plains. The tundra is flat and marshy and blanketed by permafrost (everlasting floor frost). The sea withinside the Arctic, called the Arctic Ocean, is frozen over for tons of the year.
