Why is 21 June an important day around the Arctic Circle?
On 21 June or the summer time season solstice, the Sun does now no longer set north of the Arctic Circle. That is why this vicinity is referred to as the land of the middle of the night sun. For the neighborhood residents, that is a time to celebrate. On the opposite hand, on 21 December – the winter solstice – the Sun does now no longer upward push at all.
