What is the Taj Mahal?
The Mughals loved architecture. They constructed complex and intricately decorated mosques, tombs and sturdy forts at Agra and Delhi. They also studied the technology of landscaping and created beautiful gardens. Shah Jehan constructed the Taj Mahal as a tomb for his beloved wife, Mumtaz Mahal.
