What did the sailors bring home with them?
The sailors added riches and spices from the brand new lands. Foods like potato, tomato and chilli had been introduced. Animals like jaguar and tapir, and birds like macaw and toucan have been introduced for the zoos of Europe. Many shipowners became very wealthy wearing gold and different treasures for the government.
