What kinds of organs are proglottids mostly made of?
The mature proglottids, which shape the majority of the worm, are in large part composed of hermaphrodite sexual organs and generate massive numbers of eggs. A single Taenia saginata adult, for example, might also additionally produce 50 000 eggs every day for 10 years or more.
