During Jai Andhra Movement the president rule was imposed in Andhra Pradesh from 18th January 1973 to 10th December 1973. After nine ministers from Seemandhra region in the P. V. Narasimha Rao cabinet resigned, he had to resign as Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh on 10th January 1973, and President's rule was imposed in the state.
