The dresses worn by the male and female of the Indus Valley Civilization didn’t vary very much, the dresses shared some commonality. Skirt or dhoti was worn by both, men and women. The upper part was covered with a cloak or shawl. Needles, buttons have also been discovered by archaeologists which indicate that the art of stitching was known at that time. The statues like the famous priest figure, the potsherd help to find out the kind of clothes worn by Harappans.
