How did Buddha have a large following?
Buddha travelled a lot of places to spread Buddhism. He got famous worldwide and had huge respect among people. People found Buddhism’s policies, ethics and principles very fair as it opposed discrimination in every basis, opposed violence and favored Karma and Moksha theory. So, to preach Buddhism, people started following Gautama Buddha. Buddha had followers from the all classes of society i.e. from king to servant and slave used to follow him. Gautama Buddha used to travel very far to spread Buddhism. He had many followers that included the rulers of Magadha, Koshali and Kosambhi. People found Buddhism as more humanitarian and fair and hence they preached Buddhism and also used to follow Buddha.
