Out of all of them, the rise of crusades was a big push. They focused on familiarizing people with diverse ideas from the east. Also, the role of original scholars led to a rebellion. They were people who believed in developing ideas, with a creative and logical bend to them. Their ideas gave a conceptual framework to the rebellion which was brewing in the minds of the people.
