When was the Constitution adopted and passed?
Republic Day celebrates January 26, 1950, the day when India turned into an established republic, having its government, and then the constitution was adopted by the citizens of the country. The Constitution of India was embraced by the Constituent Assembly on 26th November 1949 and came into force on 26th January 1950.
