The election commission is one of the most important entities in the country. This commission is responsible for conducting the elections in the country. The election commission is made up of 3 people; the chief election commissioner and 2 election commissioners, the chief being the head of the commission. The entire commission is appointed by the president himself. Final answer The election commission comprises a chief election commissioner, along with 2 more election commissioners. The chief election commissioner is the head. All of these people are appointed by the president of India.
