Differentiate between Active and Passive Citizens.
The difference between active and passive citizens can be given as- ● Active citizens- Active citizens are considered to be those citizens who are literate or have knowledge of the law. These citizens have to age above 25 years. They are required to pay taxes equal to at least 3 days of a laborer's wage. They have the right to vote. Males who are above 25 are only considered active citizens. ● Passive citizens- Passive citizens consist of citizens who are illiterate and have no knowledge of the government and law. These citizens are below 25 years of age. They are under the protection of the government and don’t pay taxes. They don’t have the right to vote. Women, children, and old people are considered to be passive citizens.
