Reserved Forests: The forests which are owned and controlled by the Government of India are known as Reserved Forests. National Parks of India and Wildlife Sanctuaries of India are the example of reserved forests. Protected Forests: The forests which are notified under the provisions of the Indian forest act and have a limited degree of limitations are known as protected forests. Sariska National park is an example of protected forests. Village Forests: Forest which are regulated by local communities in a village are known as village forest.
